This parkour photography is by Kat Loveland. Interesting and counter-intuitive angles against floating subjects really do a effective job of drawing the viewer in for closer scrutiny. Each frame seems to ask “whats going on here?”. I like these shots, they are complex and definitely a slow read…but in a good way….I can’t help but wonder if the shots would benefit from a strobe or two to pop the subjects out of their environment a little more and elevate the image even more. Are these images portfolio quality? Do they need some additional umph? I really like the shot with the bird.

I am laying on the ground and he is flipping over me. The shutter was a little slow and it was hard to get the focus right. The red lines are the bridge rails. This would have been much better if I could have gotten 3 more feet below him
